Obituary for Edward J. Courduff Sr.

Edward J.  Courduff Sr.
Edward John Courduff, 87, husband of the late Mary Courduff (nee Scullin), of Fox Chase passed away peacefully at home on October 28th, 2017.

Ed was born February 23, 1930 in Kensington. He was the son of the late John and Mary Courduff.

Ed served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Teamster Voice Local 107. Ed was a longtime member of Lighthouse Boys Club and Venango Bears. Ed coached countless youth at Fox Chase Soccer Club and Fox Rok Athletic Association. Ed’s favorite pastimes included Fishing mostly in Fortescue, NJ on the Delaware Bay and hunting with family and friends in Tioga County, PA and traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his children Marcy Mayeski, Maryann (David) Redlinger, Edward J. (Clare) Courduff, Barbara Matwiejczyk, and Brian Monk (Jeanette) Courduff. He is also survided by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, sister in law Patricia Dotzman and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Mary he was predeceased by his sister Muriel Kelleher.


Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday 11/1/2017 6:30 – 9:00 pm at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053 and his funeral mass, Thursday 11/2/2017 10:30 am at St. Albert the Great 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006
